As some of you must have read previously, my tablet decided to inconveniently die. I've been having problems getting a proper replacement. That isn't all completely terrible, though it's far from fun, it gave me time to reconsider where I'm going with all this. And I realised I'm not really happy with some decisions I made previously. Long story short, I'm starting over. More or less.

Changes I'm making mostly pertain to the art style. It already wasn't consistent even though I just started and I'm going to make some preparations. A style guide sort of. I won't religiously adhere to but it will help create a far more cohesive world. Aside from that I'm completely changing the skill/item concept, which was too bloated to begin with. It will be compressed and made way more concise.

Beside the two species I'm definitely keeping, I'll also (and probably primarily for now) be focusing on adoptables to which I will apply no design constraints. I feel like the species thing may have become too much of a standard and it's kind of limiting. They will serve as experiments for style, to gauge interest in my work and gather some funds to pay for a new/second hand tablet.

If you made it this far through the journal, congrats you're a patient and very nice person. Thanks for sticking with me. I'm not going to be able to give an actual timetable for this because I have no idea how long it will all take me. Let's do this!
